Mirror pond and Moon Gate

The garden set within the hospital grounds has been designed with quiet reflection in mind.

The garden includes a raised circular mirror pond, a woven hazel screen enclosing a seating area, and Moon Gate all set within a planting palette which includes ferns, groundcover and herbaceous planting contained within a beech hedge and reclaimed sleeper boundary wall.

Erskine Hospital is set within a designed landscape dating from the late 18th Century.  The house, now a hotel, was acquired by Erskine in 1916 as a veterans hospital to provide care for sailors and soldiers returning from the conflict of the Second World War.
