The scheme aims to green and soften the space through extensive tree planting and the introduction of evergreen shrubs and biannual planting. The resulting landscape is a series of linked gardens with a strong organising geometry, alternating hard and soft landscape providing an identity within the often discordant geometries within the development. The scheme introduces a human scale within the existing large anonymous buildings, and provides a sanctuary for staff, visitors and local residents.
