Or just another tick box exercise?’); and take part in an interactive session exploring designing for health in nature.

Maximising landscape’s contribution to health and wellbeing
Lee Parry-Williams, Senior Public Health Practitioner (HIA & Policy) at NHS Wales

Could health impact assessment methodology both inform and strengthen planning and decision-making processes within placemaking to maximise health and wellbeing outcomes? Lee Parry-Williams will introduce delegates to the process of HIA and the principles of Health in All Policies (HiAP), followed by a case study demonstrating the application of HIA methodology within a green open space as part of a wider development project. Finally, a group discussion will explore how landscape’s contribution to health and wellbeing is translated from theory into practice.
