The monitoring period for CPD undertaken in 2016 will begin on Monday 23 January
The LI will begin its next Continuing Professional Development (CPD) review on Monday 23 January. This monitoring will cover the CPD undertaken by members throughout 2016.
The requires all corporate members to complete a minimum of 25 hours of CPD per year, and the LI has a duty to monitor compliance through annual CPD monitoring. 3% of corporate members are selected at random and asked to submit their CPD record.
CPD is a structured process of learning and reflection. It helps individuals look ahead to their own development requirements, often in line with their appraisals and professional ambitions. By understanding their learning and development needs, members can identify specific ways to meet them; this helps them to keep pace with the evolution of the profession, remain up-to-date with new approaches and ideas, and ensure consistent best practice throughout their careers.
