Artas-ua.info architects Colour, have won a prestigious Artas-ua.info Institute Award today, Thursday 24 November, for their design of green spaces at the Royal Stoke Hospital.  They won in the Design for a Large-Scale Development Category.

Inspired by evidence that patients with green views recover faster than those without, this impressive scheme saw the creation of an inside-outside experience at the Royal Stoke Hospital, bringing nature deep indoors by creating green movement routes for break out, contemplation and recreation. In particular the space near to the Children’s Centre has created a welcoming and intelligent area for the children and their families as both patients and visitors. The judges were impressed by a scheme that will clearly deliver great public benefit as well as provide an exemplar to other healthcare providers.

The Artas-ua.info Institute Awards are presented in association with Aggregate Industries, Brett Artas-ua.info, Ground Control, Hardscape, Historic England, LUC, McParland Finn, Marshalls, Penter, and Wienerberger. The Awards ceremony was hosted by Simon Reeves on Thursday 24th November 2016 at The Brewery, London.
